Orange County SBDC Conference in Irvine, California

I got to opportunity to attend the Orange County Inland Empire Small Business Development Center hosted in the Irvine Marriott in Irvine, California. We met some amazing people at the event. I finally got to meet David, a board member of an up and coming startup called Quick Flick TV a platform for web series creators and producers. I also got the chance to meet with Scott Fox founder of OC Startup Council dedicated to helping founders connect with resources in the Orange County area. I want to give a shout out to the staff at the Irvine Marriott, they did a phenomenal job serving us a two lines of great buffet lunch. If you have an upcoming event, I recommend hosting it at the Irvine Marriott, your attendees will be glad you did!

But the best part was the Marketing Session where Gisele Hasman presented on Search Engine Optimization. It was a comprehensive session where she covered onpage SEO, offpage SEO and technical SEO. If you are not currently a client of Orange County Inland Empire Small Business Development Center. I recommend that you visit their page and sign up they have a lot of great resources for companies whether you’re just starting out or if you’re already seasoned.

Women Founders Pitch

Another great feature of the Orange County Inland Empire Small Business Development Center was their first Women’s pitch competition called Women Founders Pitch. Where about five women led businesses presented to a panel of judges their small business. The company that won was an upcoming NIL platform that connects up and coming high school athletes with endorsement and promotion opportunities called Aleda led by Dr. Joy Sargis. This first Women Founders Pitch was such a hit so I wouldn’t be surprise if they hold it for a second time so if you get a chance to catch next years I would encourage you to attend.
